What are Blood Diamonds?

Blood diamonds are normal diamonds mined illegally in parts of southern Africa by cartels, and rebel organizations such a Revolutionary United Front [RUF].

Miners include men, women, and children, all of which are enslaved by promises of payment it seems they will never receive. When asked for payment, soldiers beat them into submission, and order them to keep working. Any acts of resistance are re-payed with death or severe injury. These people do not live lives, they live nightmares.
